As part of our ongoing commitment to community and education, Paul Kelly and Kira Hamm recently visited Ard Scoil Chiaráin in Clara, Co. Offaly, where they spoke with Leaving Certificate students about careers in accountancy, Audit and Tax. The session outlined the various career and study pathways into the profession, highlighting the breadth of opportunities available both in practice and across industry.
The discussion also explored how artificial intelligence is transforming the sector, from streamlining compliance work to enhancing advisory and analytical roles. Students were highly engaged throughout, asking insightful questions about exams, career progression and the future of the profession. It was particularly meaningful for Director Paul Kelly, a past student of Ard Scoil Chiaráin, to return to the school and share his own career journey. We hope the visit encouraged students to consider accountancy as a rewarding and future‑focused career option.
Celebrating Young Entrepreneurs
On Friday 13th March, as part of Enterprise Day 2026, Paul Kelly visited Scoil Naomh Eoin NS in Rath, Co. Offaly to meet with students and hear first‑hand about their Business ideas and entrepreneurial spirit. The school hosted an impressive showcase of 23 student‑led Businesses, covering a wide range of ventures including sweets, baking, jam, arts and crafts, gardening, beauty products, publications, motivational ideas and personalised gifts.
Following the judging, the young entrepreneurs took part in a large sales event, selling their products to fellow students and members of the local community. The level of creativity, confidence and commercial awareness on display was outstanding. All of the students involved are a credit to their school, teachers and families — but most of all to themselves for the initiative and effort they put into their businesses.
We wish the very best of luck to the 10 students who will now progress to the County Enterprise Day in April, and we look forward to following their continued success.
